alright. i admit defeat. my favorite pair of jeans have been ripped, sewn, torn again, patched, and faded down to the thread. i cannot justify wearing them anymore. OOOOooohhhh how lovely they were!!! Flattering! They had a strong waist band that wasn't too tight (My first replacement pair was from A&F and the waistband was loose at the top and tight at the bottom seam...ridiculous!) and did't sag down in the middle at the button. they were the perfect rise, comfortable and sexy w/shorter cut shirts. the flare was minimal, flattering, great dark wash and just damn cool.

PLUS...they were a great deal :(

so now i have bought stretch jeans (which have too much of a flare, are too long for me, and too stretchy), skinny jeans (which have faded incredibly fast), trouser cut (which with the slanty pockets, how i dislike my thighs, and the bad waistband i mentioned...were terrible)...! I got a great pair from Victoria's Secret, but I was between sizes, and the other pair I got from them had whiskering. I have to say whiskering is a TERRIBLE idea on pants for women. Who wants horizontal lines across their thighs!?

I am a picky shopper! I am critical of my thighs and long torso.

Where are a pair of sturdy jeans that will last, with nice pockets, details on the back pockets, low-rise, NO whiskers, flattering bootcut, and in a nice wash...and my size!? Do I have to give up? With perseverance I found my dream camera, exactly to my specifications.
(12x optical, 7 mega pixels or higher, SD cards, NO AA batteries, EVF, anti-shake, good color saturation--it's a panasonic with leica lens! my second choice was a great kodak but it had AA batteries, better color saturation, i think, and great capturing speed. i just hate those damn AA batteries!)

Anyways...back to pants
Is it petty of me to want a pair of jeans I can go to without thinking,"Oh these make me look dumpy, short, chubby around the waist, thigh through the thighs!" and just enjoy?
If so, then I AM BEING PETTY!

I should mention that we got quite a rainstorm last night. The weather has been springy this past week, but now a cold front is coming in. That means possible tornadoes and cooler weather. We had a strong, quick downpour last night that woke me. It was incredibly strong. It did sound pretty awesome on the steel roof.
